Utility Boats Clamp Mountings
Utility/conventional fishing boats often have narrow gunnels which allow for clamping Baseplate assemblies to the side of the boats. These clamps do not require the user to add a wedge or some other spacer system to bring the baseplate horizontal (and thus the downrod vertical).
This clamp allows the user to clamp onto the boat at any angle and then align the top plate so that the downrod can go vertically into the water.
The vertical alignment of the downrod is critical in getting good imaging from side view transducers as well as a good visual arc with live scanning sonars like Active Target, Livescope, and Mega Live.
