Ranger Boats Pedestal Mounting onto Deck for a downrod system is a great way to mount the baseplate system

Pedestals should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch taller than the distance from the deck to the top edge of the gunnel.

Typically all the fiberglass models of ranger boats use a 15 inch baseplate.    Aluminum rangers can typically use a 12 inch baseplate.
