Downrod for Humminbird Mega Live transducer.
NOTE: MEGA LIVE ICE does not require this downrod. You need only a downrod cone to place on your existing ICE Downrod: https://www.fishingspecialties.com/product/downrod-cone-for-humminbird-mega-live-ice/
This downrod is 48 inches long and is large enough to allow the transducer cables to pass through the downrod. This helps to protect the cables when in use and eases cable management as there is nothing for the cable to wrap about when scanning with the downrod.
The downrod ships with a strain relief ring to protect the cable as it exits the top of the downrod.
There is a single mounting methods for the Humminbird Mega Live: A post end for connection of the well made Humminbird bracket. Post ends neck the downrod back to trolling motor shaft diameter so you can easily connect the Humminbird bracket. There is a wire channel in the upper portion of the post end to allow the cable to run through the downrod. A C clip is provided to prevent the cable from touching the raw end of the downrod as it enters the tube.
We have changed to a single handle option:  It is a telescoping handle 12-18 inches in length that also drops down parallel to the downrod for easy stowage.
And finally extension tubes are available for use with very deep boats. Typically extension tubes are mounted at the top of the downrod and serve the function of allowing the handle to be raised higher and thus be a bit more accessible.
