This down pole assembly fits bass boats where the deck to top of gunnel distance is 4.5 inches or less.

This system uses a magnetic baseplate to hold the downrod.  This makes removal of the baseplate from the pedestal extremely fast and prevents the need to deal with thumbscrews.

Baseplate is 15 inches long.  Distance from inside edge of gunnel out to rub rail must be 8 inches or less.

Downrod is a pick and place design.  This makes for easy deployment and stowage.   Less than a second to put it out or retrieve it from the water.

Magnetic attachment will simply lift off the pedestal should the downrod impact underwater obstacles.
