When putting the extension on a mounting, ensure the extension does not exceed the rub rail of the boat.

This extension is made with 1/2 inch thick aluminum.  It is a total length of 8 inches and will extend the baseplate mounting toward the edge of the boat by 4 full inches (leaving 4 inches to mount the baseplate).

Can be used with any mountings except downrigger bracket clamp
